The Commission of Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland will launch its manifesto Making Good Society next month.
The Commission, which was established by the Carnegie UK Trust in 2006, is an independent body exploring the threats and opportunities within civil society. It is chaired by Geoff Mulgan (pictured), chief executive of the Young Foundation and includes chair of the Charity Awards judges Maeve Sherlock on its board.
Its upcoming manifesto will make 30 recommendations across the areas of finance, low carbon economy, the media and democracy and recommendations directly to government to create incentives and change structures to transfer power towards citizens.
