The National Memorial Arboretum is to become part of the Royal British Legion, the second charity to do so in the last two months.
The National Memorial Arboretum, a centre of remembrance to recognise those who have lost their lives or suffered in conflict, merged with the Royal British Legion last week.
Just last month, the Scottish armed forces charity Poppyscotland also voted to merge with the Royal British Legion (inc. £66.5m) to create the largest armed forces charity in the UK.
The National Memorial Arboretum (inc. £2.9m) has been part of the Royal British Legion family since 2003. It was conceived in 1997 as a living tribute to the war time generations of the twentieth century and as a gift to their memory for future generations to reflect upon and enjoy.

Given that one of our most important Memorial sites is at the National Memorial Arboretum, it would be helpful if one of our Trustees could represent the civil emergency services, on the governing board at the Arboretum.
