VisionFund, the microfinance wing of World Vision, was recognised at last week’s New York TV and Film Awards for its film, Genevieve’s Story.

The charity won bronze in the public relations category with its film, made by London production company the Edge. The film follows Genevieve growing up on an island in the north of the Philippines and shows how a microfinance loan turned her family’s prospects around. She is one of ten inspirational people whose stories VisionFund is sharing in 2013 to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
