Prince Harry’s famous bravado is not all it seems, according to a film clip released by the royal on Wednesday.
In today's film of the week, Prince Harry shares his secret as part of the charity Sentebale's #FeelNoShame campaign for World Aids Day.
“Believe it or not, I get incredibly nervous before public speaking, no matter how big the crowd or the audience,” he said. “And despite the fact that I laugh and joke all the time, I get incredibly nervous, if not anxious, before going into rooms full of people when I’m wearing a suit.”
But he admits that his confession may make his problem even worse.
“Now that I’ve confessed that, I’ll probably be even more worried that people are looking at me,” he said.
Prince Harry urged others to share their own “shameful” secrets.
“I must encourage as many people to get involves as possible,” he said.
The royal campaign was joined by a host of celebrities, including Joss Stone who admitted that she once weed herself in Superdrug, and former X-Factor judge, Nicole Scherzinger, who admitted that she sometimes feels like she doesn’t fit in.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of how getting rid of the shame and stigma of HIV sufferers and empowering them to seek medical support and education about their condition, can help prevent the virus from spreading.
Harry co-founded Sentebale with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006.
