Unicef is calling on people to record their own version of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ to be used in multi-lingual version of the song, and Katy Perry, Hugh Jackman and Priyanka Chopra are among those that have appeared in a video to inspire people to take part.

The #Imagine project is part the charity’s activity to mark 25 years since the Convention on the Rights of the Child. To participate people need to download an app so that they can record and upload their version as well as personal messages. Participants will also be asked to donate.

Unicef’s version, that will be produced by David Guetta, is set to be released in time for New Year’s Eve 2014.
