A jaw-dropping 60 per cent of the prison population is functionally illiterate, according to Beanstalk, a charity helping children to read. In this poignant film Beanstalk presents Jack, and his potential futures.
Beanstalk celebrated its 40th anniversary last week by launching this film to illustrate the importance of its services not just for children, but for society as a whole. The film is an education in itself, highlighting a staggering link to illiteracy and offending.
