The Christmas countdown has begun! And we're all thinking of what presents to buy, where to get the turkey and how to fit 15 relatives around the dining table. Well, not all of us...
Action for Children's clever stop motion film serves as a poignant reminder that not everyone is as lucky. A key to the film's success, however, is the addition of a donation function on YouTube, which, after a thorough click around, I can see that few charities currently use. Integrating the donation, and a campaign message visible below the film, Action for Children's channel has been transformed into a simple appeal platform. No child should wish for food this Christmas, they say, in a film "based on a true story".

Every Friday civilsociety.co.uk features an innovative use of film by a charity. If you would like to draw our attention to your charity's film, or even someone else's please email [email protected].
