Civil Society News is bringing you a festive countdown in the run-up to Christmas. The sixth day sees the return of the much debated Daily Doppelganger.
Last year we brought you a much-read series of Daily Doppelgangers to celebrate Christmas. It's fair to say it caused a mixed array of criticism and praise among our readership. One since-identified but then anonymous correspondent felt it hit a new low in charity journalism, dubbed it the Daily Clanger, and suggested we'd compared two people who looked about as similar as John Prescott and Lulu.
But other people rushed to its defence. Bored people, probably, sitting at their desks with nothing better to do than assess whether Stuart Etherington really looked like Matt Lucas (we concede now, belatedly, that he doesn't).
So for those people who loved it last year, and for one day only, we've brought it back.
One particular favourite comment from last year read: "Obviously it is a terribly glib item that is distracting me from my efforts to save the world. However, I always thought that Lord Hodgson looks like Montgomery Burns." We actually think that Mongomery Burns looks like another (ex)sector personality. Scroll down to see who.
