And they are so good at this stuff – they tell donors exactly what their participation has achieved, during and after each campaign. Then, when you want to get involved in the next campaign, you’re confident it will achieve something – something that you can be a part of.  

So next time you hear the buzz around your office because your organisation has achieved something you’re proud of; go and congratulate the team who worked on it. Then quietly excuse yourself and head somewhere quiet where you can spend a few minutes thinking about which donors you need to share this buzz with, how you can do it (quickly!) and what you’re going to say. It’s the best few minutes you’ll spend that day.
