Carbon Literacy is the knowledge and understanding needed to recognise the impact of carbon emissions, understand the role organisations and individuals play in addressing climate change, and identify practical opportunities to reduce emissions.
This one-day course is delivered online across two half-day sessions, making it accessible and practical alongside participants' normal working commitments. The course will help participants understand the fundamentals of climate change and carbon emissions, explore how these apply to charities and Third Sector organisations, and develop practical actions they can take within their organisation and role.
On successful completion, participants will receive:
- Carbon Literate certification, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of carbon and climate change.
- A personal action plan, identifying practical steps to take to reduce carbon emissions
- The knowledge and confidence to champion carbon reduction and climate action within their organisation.
