Early bird prices for Civil Society Media’s Charity Technology Conference end tomorrow. 

The chief executive, Jane Collins, and head of digital, Steve Armstrong, from Marie Curie will deliver the opening keynote at this year’s Charity Technology Conference.  They will address the subject of transforming traditional organisations into digital leaders and share their experience of embedding digital at Marie Curie at this year’s annual Charity Technology Conference, which is organised by Civil Society Media. 

Across four streams (digital, data & compliance, leadership and innovation) experts will address issues like best practice in social media, selecting the right customer-relationship management system and how new technology such as virtual reality can be applied to charities. 

There will also be practical sessions on preparing for incoming GDPR and avoiding falling victim to cyber-crime. 

The day will end with a panel debate on the role that technology can play in building public trust.  This will be hosted by Tris Lumley, director of innovation and development at New Philanthropy Capital, and include contributions from Rhodri Davies, programme leader of Giving Thought at the Charities Aid Foundation, Rosie Slater-Carr, chief information officer, British Red Cross, Rebecca Sycamore, executive director of fundraising & communications, St Mungo’s and Paul Vanags, head of public fundraising, Oxfam GB.
