Charity IT Leaders has appointed Tree Hall as its first chief executive officer.

Hall has worked for the organisation since March 2019 as a business manager and previously held a range of fundraising and marketing roles, including director of fundraising at Asthma UK.

She will take up her position from tomorrow. Charity IT Leaders said she will focus on broadening the organisation’s member base, developing its infrastructure and building its presence in the sector.

Charity IT Leaders has around 100 members and aims to support IT leaders in the non-profit sector as well as help charities make the most of technology. According to the organisation’s website, members have a minimum £10m turnover or £1m annual IT spend.

The organisation said that appointing a CEO will allow it to reach out to more professionals and have a bigger impact in the sector.

Dan Hall, chair of trustees and director of IT at the Girls' Day School Trust, said: “This is a significant development for Charity IT Leaders. Having a paid CEO will enable us to deliver a significant step-change in the support we can offer our members across the not-for-profit sector.”
