Tony Hales
Tony Hales is chair of the Canal & River Trust and was chair of its forebearer British Waterways. He is passionate about the canals and in particular, the role of volunteers and the benefits they can offer to engage and teach young people.
He has had a varied career including being chief executive of an international food and drink company, and chair of NAAFI, the armed forces support organisation, for which he was awarded a CBE.
