Sue Gwaspari

Director, part-time volunteering, CSV

Sue has over 30 years’ experience of working with and managing volunteers and is currently responsible for CSV volunteering projects that support children and families, criminal justice, adult social care, social inclusion and youth volunteering.

These are delivered through mentoring and befriending, supported volunteering and youth-led volunteering.

Sue leads a staff team of 50 who engage over 3,000 volunteers each year.

She led the development of the successful CSV Volunteers in Child Protection Project which is now operating in Bromley, Lewisham, Islington, Southend-on-Sea and Coventry. This project was recognised as a significant development in volunteering and contributed to CSV being recognised as the Overall Winner at the 2010 Charity Awards.

Gwaspari is also a qualified drama and English teacher, has worked in repertory and community theatre and was previously responsible for leading a national campaign for increased children’s play space.
