Paul Breckell

Paul is the Managing Director of Corporate Resources at RNID, the largest charity in the UK working on hearing loss.

 

Before joining RNID in July 2007, Paul was the Finance and Corporate Services Director of Church Mission Society for seven years and the Head of Finance at the HIV / AIDS healthcare charity, Mildmay, for three years. He is a chartered public finance accountant (CIPFA), having trained whilst working with the Audit Commission. Having been a member since its inception, Paul became the Chair of the CIPFA Voluntary Sector Panel in September 2008 and has recently completed a term as a member of CIPFA Council, its Board of Trustees.

 

From 2003 to 2007, Paul was the Chair of Charity Finance Directors Group, and was made an honorary life member in 2008. He continues to write and speak on a number of topics in relation to finance in the ‘beyond profit’ sector, is a Charity Trustee, a member of Amnesty International’s Finance and Audit Committee and of the Nuffield Foundation’s Audit Committee. Paul is actively involved in his church and local community as a volunteer youth and children’s worker.
