Jo Taylor

Director

Leading the Ethical Property Foundation combines Jo’s passions for environmental and social justice – and the built environment.  As the Foundation’s first director, Jo established a unique property advice service tailored to the needs of the charity sector – which was highly commended at the Charity Awards in its first year of operation.

With the property advice service established as a respected provider of charity property solutions, Jo has turned her attention to the development of a quality mark for commercial property managed with people and the planet in mind.

Jo joined the Foundation from the BioRegional Development Group, where she acted as sustainability consultant on the pioneering BedZED eco-development, set up an education centre to share the learning from BedZED, and established thriving eco-consultancy BioRegional Consulting. Whilst at BioRegional she was seconded to Smart Moves, and was instrumental in setting up London’s first car sharing club.

A biologist by training, Jo started her career with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and Bath Environment Centre.

As of February 2014, Jo will be leaving the role of director at the Ethical Property Foundation to pursue a freelance career. The role will be filled by Antonia Swinson.
