Emeka Forbes
Emeka Forbes is a campaigner working to strengthen communities by creating opportunities for connection and breaking down barriers to living well together.
He leads cohesion work at the Together Coalition, running national efforts to bridge divides and build stronger social connections by designing campaigns, bringing partners together, and shaping policy — working across civil society, business and government.
He also leads the secretariat for the Independent Commission on Community and Cohesion, a cross-party initiative co-chaired by two former cabinet ministers and backed by leaders across politics and civil society. The commission is developing practical recommendations to help communities feel more connected, resilient and able to thrive.
Emeka is also chair of Z2K, an anti-poverty charity, and a trustee of Room to Heal, which supports survivors of torture and human rights abuse. And he advises the Warm Welcome Campaign — a network of 5,000+ local community spaces — and the Fairness Foundation, a think tank focused on tackling inequality.
His background is in policy, advocacy and campaigning, with experience across a mix of issues — from social care and inequality to AI regulation and the future of cash.
