"Charities are created to meet a particular need, whether by topic, location, or personality. Hence the proliferation and lack of coordination resulting in competition and inefficiency. I fear it is not going to change voluntarily because each charity is fighting to survive. If there would be a solution it could be based on a requirement to harmonise by topic and funding. For example, as CEO of PTSD Resolution, I would welcome the opportunity to harmonise delivery and funding with others in the military mental health field. Maybe Prince William's patronage of Contact - Heads Together will help this happen."
