Who's Moving: RoSPA, TimeBank, StepChange and more

Our weekly summary of the latest movers in the charity sector.

Chief executive 

RoSPA, the safety charity, has appointed Errol Taylor as its chief executive. Taylor has been filling the role in an interim capacity, and has been deputy chief executive since 2006.

CICRA, a charity for children and young adults affected by chrons and colitis, has appointed Nick Posford as its first chief executive. Before joining CICRA, Nick Posford was chief executive of the student union at Kingston University and formerly head of fundraising for Cardiomyopathy UK. He has also worked for Parkinson’s UK, Asthma UK and Planning Aid as well as being a trustee for Citizens Advice MK.

Finance and operations 

Community Integrated Care has appointed David Hedley as company secretary and legal counsel. He joined earlier this month from digital communications group, Join the Dots (Research) Limited, where he was Group Legal Counsel and Company Secretary. 

Non-executives

Peter Beeby has been named as the new chair at volunteering charity TimeBank. He is the deputy chief executive of Prospectus, a recruitment agency. Cathy Tyler, a TimeBank trustee since 2015 and treasurer for the last year, has become deputy chair. 

Beeby has previously been chair and trustee for Southwark Bereavement Care, a counselling charity. He also volunteered at London 2012, recruiting volunteers and taking part as a games maker.  He takes over from Lady Andrée Deane Barron, who retires after six years with TimeBank. She will continue to act as an ambassador for the charity. 

StepChange Debt Charity has appointed Monica Kalia and Tim Frost as trustees. Kalia is the co-founder and chief strategy officer at Neyber, a start-up that helps employers offer their staff competitive loans. Frost is the co-founder and director of Cairn Capital, an asset management firm.

Seven new trustees have been appointed to UnLtd’s board. They are Rachel Barton, a digital consultant, Stephen Bediako, a social innovator, Lynne Berry, chair of Breast Cancer Now, Tim Davies-Pugh, a social sector consultant, James Lawson, a wealth insight consultant, Elizabeth Sideris, a former HR executive, and Krishna Vishnubhotla, a chartered accountant.
