Chief executive
The Research Institute for Consumer Affairs, the consumer champion for older and disabled people, has appointed Jon Quinn as its chief executive. Quinn will join in April and is currently head of campaigns at Shelter.
Non-executives
Rodger McMillan has become chair of Arthritis Research UK. He is scientist and former senior vice president of research and development at AstraZeneca. Rodger said: “I am extremely honoured to be taking on the role of Chair for this wonderful charity. When I chose to retire, my goal was to give something back to support healthcare and life science activities in the UK.”
Action on Hearing Loss has appointed professor Adrian Davis OBE as its president. Davis is a hearing health academic and was the driving force and developer of the England’s NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme.
The Prime Minister has appointed James Timpson as the Tate’s North West commercial trustee, for 4 years until 28 February 2021.
Former Olympic champion, Sally Gunnell, has become patron of Sussex Search and Rescue.
