Leonard Cheshire Disability, Malaria No More UK, WaterAid and more announce their latest appointments.

Chief executive

Clare Pelham, chief executive of Leonard Cheshire Disability, has announced that she will be stepping down from the role after five years at the charity.

According to a statement from the charity, Pelham (pictured) will be leaving the organisation to “look for a new role” after five years as chief executive of the disability charity.

According to a spokeswoman for the charity, the recruitment process to find Pelham’s replacement will likely get under way after Easter.

Fundraising and communications

Nicola Peckett has been appointed director of partnerships and communications at Malaria No More UK. She will work closely with James Whiting, the charity’s executive director, to increase UK commitment to expand the organisation’s influence globally.

Peckett joins Malaria No More UK from Care International UK, where she was previously head of communications. She has worked in communications for the non-profit sector for over 20 years in both the UK and in Africa.  

Finance and operations

WaterAid has appointed Olga Ghazaryan as director of international programmes. She will take up her new role in June.

She joins from Oxfam GB, where she is currently the international programmes director. Prior to this Ghazaryan held a number of senior leadership roles with the organisation.

Non executives

Susan Evans has been selected as the next chair of the Community Transport Association’s board of trustees.

Evans is currently customer director and a board member for Alstom Transport UK and also chairs the Woman in Alstom group.

She will replace Dr Stephen Hickey who is stepping down from the charity after his tenure as chair.
