AbScent is inviting participants to apply for funding that will improve ongoing research into smell dysfunction or explore interventions that enhance the quality of life for people affected by smell and taste loss. Researchers who are early in their career are encouraged to submit project proposals that align with the charity’s purposes.

Grants available: £10,000 - £50,000

Who is the funding for?
Charities, community land trusts and housing cooperatives can apply for funding to help households struggling with the rising cost of living. To be successful, applicants must meet one of the specified criteria, which include helping people into a home, preventing people from losing their home and supporting people to thrive at home.

Ofgem Energy

Grants available: £20,000 - £2m
Deadline to apply: 6 June 2022
Who is the funding for?
The Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme is making £27m available for charities and community groups that support vulnerable people living in cold homes across England, Scotland and Wales, and are faced with high energy bills. The scheme also aims to empower consumers to reduce their carbon emissions.

National Academy for Social Prescribing 

Grants available: up to £10m

Who is the funding for?
Pulled from a variety of sectors, the funding will support grassroots music projects for people living will dementia and will be distributed locally. The fund hopes to tackle some of the issues raised in the Power of Music report, which was released last month by Music for Dementia and UK Music.

Royal Society of Chemistry

Who is the funding for?
The Royal Society of Chemistry funds a large range of projects and organisations that work with communities involved in chemical sciences. The society prioritises those that engage with issues around sustainability linked to chemical sciences and under-served and under-represented audiences including individuals with disabilities and those facing social, economic and educational disadvantage.
