A new postgraduate degree in civil society has been launched by the sociology department at the University of Leicester.

A new postgraduate degree in civil society has been launched by the sociology department at the University of Leicester. 

The course is designed for people considering a career in the non-profit sector and aims to give students an understanding of how charities, social enterprises and advocacy organisations work.

Modules include civil society and the public sphere and debates in contemporary sociology. Students will also have the option of including an internship at a civil society organisation as part of the course.

Starting next October the course takes one year full time or two years part time will fees for next year set at £4,345.
