The London Voluntary Service Council (LVSC) has launched the third in a series of surveys designed to track the effect of the recession on the capital’s voluntary and community organisations.

London-based organisations that wish to take part in the survey or read copies of previous reports should visit www.lvsc.org.uk/bigsqueeze.

The survey closes at the end of May, with results to be released in July.

"It is vital we get as many organisations as possible to complete the survey," said Peter Lewis, chief executive of LVSC.

"Many are facing the heavy axe of public spending cuts across different funding streams, and only they are in a position to explain how it has affected them and their beneficiaries."
