Acclaimed actor Stephen Mangan has been confirmed to host this year’s Charity Awards presentation dinner on Thursday 9 June at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Best known for his role in hit cult comedy Green Wing, Stephen has also starred in I’m Alan Partridge, Free Agents, Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years and more recently BBC primetime shows Episodes and Dirk Gently.
Stephen has also taken on more serious stage roles in the West End and in touring productions, including The Tempest, The Norman Conquests and Hamlet and appeared in a number of British films including Beyond the Pole, Confetti and Billy Elliot.
At The Charity Awards 2011, Stephen will be joined by comedian Hugh Dennis, who plays the lead in BBC sitcom Outnumbered and Monica Ali, author of the Booker shortlisted Brick Lane, both of whom will present Charity Awards to winners on the night.
Other celebrities handing out awards include broadcasters Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Andrea Catherwood and actors Robert Glenister, Jane Asher, Olivia Colman and Zöe Lucker.
