One of the three sector figures shortlisted for CFG’s £5,000 Adrian Randall Prize for ‘inspiring financial leadership’ is a fundraiser.
Tania Cohen, currently a freelance consultant, has previously held posts as head of fundraising strategy at the British Red Cross and database marketing manager at Shelter.
She made the shortlist for the CFG competition for her ideas to transform the relationship between finance and fundraising professionals.
The other two people to have made the shortlist are Ian White, finance manager at the Edinburgh International Festival and vice chair of the Scottish Music Centre, and freelance finance consultant Hilary Seaward.
Ian White has devised an app to help trustees improve or maintain their financial awareness; while Seaward has proposed ideas to transform the use of financial information and reporting within charities.
All three will now spend time over the next month with representatives from Cass Business School, developing their ideas into full proposals that will be considered by the Adrian Randall Prize judging panel at the end of February.
The winner will be given £5,000 to bring their idea to fruition.
Adrian Randall was one of the co-founders of CFG, but passed away early last year. The prize named in his honour aims to generate ideas that have the potential to transform the field of charity finance.
