The Pensions Trust has announced that the SFHA Pension Scheme has been renamed the Scottish Housing Associations’ Pension Scheme (SHAPS).

The scheme, which operates on behalf of people working in the Scottish social housing sector and which was established in 1978, serves more than 7,900 members and over 150 different housing groups.

The Trust said the primary reason for the new name is to avoid confusion with the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, which also has the initials SFHA.
