High street bank chain Santander is inviting national charities to apply to become its charity partner in 2012.

High street bank chain Santander is inviting national charities to apply to become its charity partner in 2012.

Charities can apply to win the partnership, which normally raises around £500,000 for the charity, between 1May and 30 June, with six charities then invited to present and a final four shortlisted for a staff vote in September.

The bank is looking for a national charity which will be able to deal with its headquarters and appeal to staff in its 1,400 branches nationwide. Santander will also be looking for projects that it can solely fund itself and expect applicant charities to produce a fundraising calendar for the partnership.
