Cancer Research UK’s executive director of fundraising has taken up a position on the Institute of Fundraising’s board.
Richard Taylor was co-opted as a trustee of the Institute at the organisation’s board meeting on 10 February this year.
Taylor said he is delighted with his appointment. “I hope to use my longstanding experience to influence sector-wide issues and ultimately help strengthen the Institute of Fundraising’s voice," he said.
The Institute’s chief executive Amanda McLean said: “I am in no doubt that Richard will be a valued asset to our trustee board. He has a wide-reaching experience of charity fundraising for one of the UK’s most well known and respected household name charities. His practical expertise will help shape the Institute’s priorities and direction at this exciting time of organisational expansion.”
Trustees generally stand for three years, but can remain for an additional three year period in some circumstances.
