Relate Cymru’s former accounts manager has been charged with taking £215,000 from the charity and will appear at Swansea Crown Court on 18 March.

Kristian Brittain appeared in Swansea Magistrates’ Court facing 19 fraud charges and the case was sent to the Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge. He is alleged to have taken amounts of between £325 and £11,989 between July 2010 and December 2010.

The South Wales Evening Post also reports that Brittain, from Pant Gas in Gorseinon, also faces a charge of fraud for falsely telling the charity that he had passed his accountancy exams, and two further charges for the possession of cocaine and a class C drug.

He did not enter pleas to any to of the charges.
