JustTextGiving is to be the official fundraising partner for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life 2012 series.

The charity will be looking to raise more in donations, by directing and encouraging fundraisers to use the free text donation service.

Since JustTextGiving was launched by the Vodafone Foundation in May last year the service has been utilised by 30,000 fundraisers. In its partnership with Race for Life the organisation will give individual fundraisers their own text code to allow ease of donation.

Race for Life participants have been using online donation service JustGiving to raise funds since 2004. The running events will attract over 600,000 participants this year.
