Prince's Countryside Fund offers grants for boosting rural relations

The Prince’s Countryside Fund has begun accepting applications for the funding of projects aiming to improve relations within rural areas of the country.

The Prince’s Countryside Fund has begun accepting applications for the funding of projects aiming to improve relations within rural areas of the country.

Charities and social enterprises can apply for grants up to £50,000 for specific projects which work to improve the sustainability of farming, boost relations between consumers and countryside or more generally support farming and rural crisis charities. 

The fund has been raising money from businesses. Companies which donate to the fund in the next few months will display the logo on their products.

Three initial programmes have already secured funding: UTASS which aims to provide practical support for farmers with red tape; Pub is the Hub, which supports rural services; and The Farmer Network, which encourages farmers to work together to develop their knowledge and skills of the industry.
