The Private Equity Foundation and Impetus Trust, whose merger to become Impetus – PEF is expected to be completed by June, have announced a proposed new board for the amalgamation.
The fourteen-strong group takes seven trustees from each, and will support the new organisation in its venture philanthropy model to help disadvantaged UK children.
The proposed board will comprise the following memebers from PEF:
- Johannes Huth, Chairman of the board. Co-founder of PEF.
- Charlie Green, co-founder of PEF.
- Carl Parker, co-founder of PEF.
- Karl Peterson, managing partner of TPG Capital.
- Andrew Sillitoe, parter at Apax Partners.
- Ramex Sousou, founder and co-CEO of TowerBrook Capital Partners.
- Nikos Stathopoulos, managing partner of BC Partners.
And the remaining seven trustees from Impetus Trust:
- Louis G. Elson, deputy chairman of the board. Managing partner of Palamon Capital Partners.
- Marc Boughton, a managing partner and board director of CVC Capital Partners Group.
- Stephen Dawson, a UK first venture capitalist.
- Craig Dearden-Phillips, founding CEO of Stepping Out.
- Andy Hinton, co-founder of Ailsa3 Ventures.
- Nat Sloane, the co-founder and vice chair of Impetus Trust.
- Chris Underhill, founding director of the charity BasicNeeds.
The chief executive of Impetus – The Private Equity Foundation will be the current CEO of Impetus Trust, Daniela Barone Soares. She commented:
