Charities that intend to fundraise near venues for this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Scotland will need to seek permission from the event organisers, OSCR has advised.

Charities that intend to fundraise near venues for this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Scotland will need to seek permission from the event organisers, OSCR has advised.

The event zones include areas surrounding the competition venues, city centre sites such as George Square and Merchant City, and other venues such as the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre near Dundee and the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.

Charities who wish to fundraise in these areas during the summer games must applying to the organising committee before 28 February.

The Commonwealth Games start in Glasgow on 23 July.
