Allison Ogden-Newton, former chief executive of Social Enterprise London, has this month joined World Child Cancer in the same role.

Describing the move, Ogden-Newton said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with this inspiring charity. Everything World Child Cancer does makes a difference; the team, board members and our supporters are wonderful, the positive energy of World Child Cancer really hits you. I think it’s because everyone who contributes to World Child Cancer knows that where we work, children’s life chances are significantly improved.”

Former CEO of World Child Cancer, Jo Hopkins, is staying with the charity, taking up the role of global director.

Ogden-Newton left Social Enterprise London, following its merger with Social Enterprise UK around nine months ago.

She is also chair of the Transition Institute and a board member of the Central Ballet School and the National Migraine Clinic.

World Child Cancer supports the diagnosis, treatment and care of kids with cancer in low and middle income countries.
