Nuffield Health will make the move a cloud-based IT platform, which it expects to be more flexible and resilient than its current system, this year.

The UK’s largest charity has chosen a converged infrastructure approach from HP using the HP CloudSystem and HP Storage Solutions to manage services centrally, which should save time, money and minimise future disruption.

It will be implemented across the charity’s 300 UK facilities, which include fitness centres, hospitals and medical centres in stages, starting with the most critical systems.

Claire Myerson, chief information officer at Nuffield Health, said: “Our IT environment is constantly evolving as the organisation grows, and we need a flexible, scalable platform to help us achieve our goals.”

The IT team will be able to allocate resources deliver new applications or infrastructure faster than before and the team will no longer have carry out manual administration tasks. The flexible storage solution also means that Nuffield will only pay for the disc capacity it uses as it uses it.
