A date for the PFRA’s Extraordinary General Meeting at which members will vote on the organisation’s proposed merger with the IoF will be confirmed tomorrow, according to a spokeswoman.

Zoe Mayers, policy and communications officer at the PFRA, has confirmed to Civil Society News that a board meeting will be held tomorrow to decide the date of the Extraordinary General Meeting on which the organisation’s proposed merger with the IoF will be voted on.

When asked whether or not the EGM would take place before the 31 July deadline for the merger to be completed, she said “that’s what will be decided at the board meeting”.
She declined to comment when asked whether the “legal due diligence” which has been hampering the completion of the merger would be finished by the time the board meets.

Mayers said that a full statement on the board meeting would be made tomorrow.

Civil Society News understands that as of Wednesday last week, the PFRA were still working through said due diligence which was given as reason for delaying the original merger vote at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting held on 15 June.
