Members of Localgiving, the online fundraising platform, will get free or discounted membership to NCVO, as part of new partnership arrangements between the two organisations.

Members with an income under £50,000 per year will get free membership. Those with a higher income will be given a 20 per cent discount on an NCVO membership.

NCVO members will be offered 20 per cent off the annual £72 fee for Localgiving's online fundraising platform.

The two organisations will also collaborate on practical guidance for members. This will include how-to guides, video training, and face-to-face sessions.

Stephen Mallinson, chief executive of Localgiving (pictured), said: “The partnership we are announcing with NCVO gives our members unique access to a prestigious body offering some of the best training and resources available in the industry. Likewise, we welcome NCVO’s local charitable groups to join us so that we can help boost their online fundraising efforts.”

Sir Stuart Etherington, chief executive of NCVO, said: “NCVO represents over 11,000 voluntary organisations, many of whom are local and community groups. We hope this offer will help them to build an online presence and increase their fundraising effectiveness so that they can make a bigger difference.

"We are also delighted that more organisations than ever can benefit from NCVO’s training, consultancy and resources and we look forward to welcoming and connecting with new members.”
