Reza Motazedi has been appointed head of the charities and not-for-profit group at Deloitte.

He joins from RSM Tenon, where he was national head of charities, and has over 20 years of experience of audit and advisory work in the sector.

He was among the first 100 people in the country to gain the ICAEW’s Diploma in Charity Accounting.

Commenting on his appojntment, Motazedi said some charities may need to consider radical action to continue growing. “This may include restructuring of the charity, merging with another organisation and working more collaboratively both with the private and third sector.

“However, Deloitte believes that with the right approach, the third sector can take advantage of certain opportunities, particularly becoming more closely involved in the delivery of public services.”
