The Institute of Fundraising has today launched a campaign to promote and celebrate the fundraising profession.
'Proud to be a fundraiser' aims to give fundraisers a voice and the tools they need to develop a mindset of “whole organisation fundraising”, the IoF said.
A campaign toolkit will be launched at the Institute’s National Convention in London on 7-9 July.
It aims to enable organisations to plan for the future and put fundraising at the heart of what they do to help them best achieve their mission, the IoF said.
The campaign will celebrate the work of IoF members and the wider fundraising community. It will also demonstrate the positive role that fundraising plays through encouraging volunteering and creating relationships with supporters and donors, the Institute said.
Peter Lewis, chief executive of the IoF, said: "'Proud to be a fundraiser' gives us a great platform for celebrating their hard work, passion, and successes across the voluntary sector and promoting excellent fundraising to colleagues, chief executives and trustees as well as politicians, the media and the public.”
Alan Clayton, director of Revolutionise Clayton Burnett, which is supporting the campaign, said the toolkit would "provide a practical guide" to help fundraisers implement "proved strategies".
