Zurich Financial Services has teamed up with Navca to offer low-cost insurance for local charities and community groups.

Zurich Financial Services has teamed up with Navca to offer affordable insurance for local charities and community groups.

The policy will provide comprehensive liability cover for a wide range of activities with a limit of up to £10m, and will be available for less than £10 a month or as little as £75 a year.

In order to qualify organisations must have less than £5,000 annual turnover and have no paid employees.

To be delivered through Tennyson Insurance, the scheme will also provide free access to online resources such as health and safety documentation and guidance to select the best cover.

Paul Emery, head of charities and social organisations at Zurich, said: “A lack of accessibility and affordability means that many community and voluntary groups are uninsured, meaning that many important community projects are hindered or don’t even get off the ground.

“Enabling the removal of barriers to the running of charities and volunteer groups by providing affordable insurance is just one of the ways we support the sector.”
