Three trustees of Harrow Association of Voluntary Services, which is being investigated by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, have resigned.

Alex Rechetnikov, from the Russian Immigrants Association in Harrow which is a member of HAVS, said three trustees stepped down from the board last week during an annual general meeting, admitting problems with its finances and the way it is being run. Five new trustees were elected at the same meeting.

PWC’s report on Harrow Association of Voluntary Services is due to be published this week. The investigation was prompted after concerns were raised by HAV’s auditors Brookfield and Co and Harrow Council, which has temporarily suspending funding of £92,000 to the charity.
