Future Fundraising agency has been purchased for a nominal fee by Person to Person after it went into liquidation in August.

Future Fundraising, formerly a face-to-face fundraising agency that focused on regular giving and donor retention, appointed a voluntary liquidator on August 18 having seen its assets falling from £686,867 in 2011 to an estimated £176,955 in August 2015.

At least three fundraising agencies have now gone into liquidation this year.

According to a spokesman from the former agency, Person to Person approached the liquidator and took on the company’s assets and staff at around the same time. There were no redundancies.

Person to Person is a face-to-face agency itself owned by the Fundraising Initiatives Group based in Middlesex.

Fundraising Initiatives previously purchased now defunct telephone fundraising agency R Fundraising, which closed its Dunfermline and Manchester offices in July with the loss of 99 jobs.

According to reports, the former chief executive, two senior account managers and a further 23 members of staff made redundant by R Fundraising were hired to work for Karat Marketing in September.

Karat Marketing is a joint venture between creative agency Revolutionise and Dialogous, a Danish telephone fundraising agency.

According to Companies House, the annual returns and accounts of both Fundraising Initiatives and Person to Person Direct Ltd are a month overdue.

Person to Person has been contacted for comment by Civil Society News, but had not responded at the time of publication.
