The Institute of Fundraising has launched the Fundraising Academy, a series of courses in fundraising, as part of its promotion of continuous professional development.

The Institute of Fundraising has launched the Fundraising Academy, a series of courses in fundraising, as part of its promotion of continuous professional development.

The academy, which was launched on November 1 to coincide with Amanda McLean stepping into post as chief executive, will comprise of four different course levels. The highest, the Advanced Diploma in Fundraising, will be equivalent to a Masters degree. Below that are the introductory certificate, a Certificate in Fundraising and Diploma in Fundraising.

McLean said that particularly in light of the government cuts and economic downturn, it has never been more important to invest in fundraising skills.
