The Home Office has confirmed funding of £16.5 million for six national hubs of expertise over the next two years. The hubs will aim to act as beacons of best practice and provide strategic leadership for the voluntary and community sector. They cover performance improvement, workforce development, governance, ICT, finance, and volunteers.

The investment in the hubs is part of the £80 million being invested by Government to deliver the ChangeUp programme. The ICT hub has been allocated £4 million for 2005-06 and 2006-07, while the others have each been given approximately £2.5 million.
