Charity Excellence has launched a set of free artificial intelligence training courses for charities in partnership with Microsoft.
The platform announced the AI Online Learning Programme late last week, after spending several years tracking AI adoption across the charity sector.
Charity Excellence launched its first AI system in 2022 and began delivering practical AI training in 2023 and has now used its experiences to develop the AI Online Learning Programme.
The initiative is designed to give anyone working in the charity sector the skills and confidence to use AI effectively and safely, and is free of charge, open to all, and requires no prior technical knowledge.
Topics range from understanding AI basics and safeguarding against risks such as scams and misinformation, to specialist modules on using AI for fundraising.
Ian McLintock, Charity Excellence’s founder, said: “We want every non-profit, no matter how small, to benefit from AI while protecting itself and its beneficiaries from harm – and to offer anyone the opportunity to develop the AI skills they will need in their future career.”
