Everyclick has now raised more than £1m for charities.

Everyclick has now raised more than £1m for charities.

The company facilitates donations through directing revenue from searches on the Everyclick site to the 200,000-plus charities signed on to the service. It also hosts sponsorship pages and shopping affiliate sites.

The company passed the £1m mark on Tuesday 26 January.

Regarding passing such a milestone, Polly Gowers (pictured), founder and chief executive of Everyclick, said: “It is a hugely satisfying moment and is proof that you can give as you live.

“However it is just the tip of the iceberg. We bank online and we shop online, however technology in the charity sector is currently lagging behind. With 85 per cent of charities in the United Kingdom having a turnover of less than £1m, we will continue to be a single online platform providing people with multiple ways of donating.”

Everyclick is aiming for 10 per cent of all internet searches in the UK to happen on Everyclick.  This would raise an extra £211,000 for charities every day.
