Charity Awards winner Community Service Volunteers is launching the European Year of Volunteering in London today.

Charity Awards winner Community Service Volunteers is launching the European Year of Volunteering in London today.

The European Year of Volunteering 2011 is a year-long campaign to promote volunteering across the European Union, by visiting the capital city of every member state.

CSV is launching the London leg today at Coin Street where members of the public will be welcome to drop in when they like between 29 October and 3 November to meet charities and volunteers.

The event will showcase volunteering with a range of organisations including the British Red Cross, Marie Curie Cancer Care, the British Heart Foundation, Orange Rockcorps, Barnardo’s and the Mayor of London’s Team London.

Public entrance is free and there is no requirement to register, doors are open from 11am to 5pm every day. For more detail, including the full programme, click here.
