CRUK shop with contactless technology through the window

Cancer Research UK has announced a collaboration with outdoor media owner Clear Channel to bring contactless giving to four Cancer Research UK shop windows in the UK.

In this world-first use of contactless giving technology, members of the public can donate £2 to the charity by tapping their contactless debit or credit card on the window at one of four selected shops in the UK.

The opportunity to donate through the shop window will be available 24 hours a day. Using near field communication (NFC) technology, once a donation is made an interactive screen will show the supporter the impact their donation will have in the fight against cancer.

The contactless giving technology will be available in the windows of Cancer Research UK shops in Kensington, Guildford, Marylebone and Brighton from 30 January until 13 February.
