Some members of Charity Commission staff are to take part in a Budget day strike over cuts to pay and pension organised by the Public and Commercial Services Union.

Around a third of the Charity Commission’s 309 staff are expected to take part in the strike organised to coincide with this year’s Budget.

The strike is likely to involve thousands of civil servants protesting against cuts to pay, pensions and working conditions.

A Charity Commission spokeswoman said: "We expect some staff to support the strike. As always, we will work to minimise any disruption to charities and the public."
